asheville update as promised

I know Asheville is a little touristy and there are a lot of people living there pretending to be this that or the other, but, Asheville has a draw to it and a really good feel to it, I love it. There, I said it.
they have great music for one thing, several venues to see good shows. Its veg and vegan friendly and there are many good restaurants as well. We went to the laughing seed which has never let me down ( try the indian thali plate), they also have a raw tapas entree every night, when we were there they had sold out of it but it was a raw lasagna. The wait wasn't terrible for a Saturday night, but we did get there a little late. It's totally vegetarian and you can view their entire menu online here:the laughing seed

We went to brunch on sunday at early girl eatery....where we were incidentally sortof rudely interrupted by this super annoying local journalist for some smoky mountain magazine, they were writing a review on early girl and asked us if they could take our picture, we said sure, (this was as soon as we had gotten our food after a night of sake) well, there was something going on with the lighting or his camera or some shit because he took about a............hundred pictures of us while we were eating......it......was soooo strange.
Another great restaurant not all veg but definitely friendly to the veg and vegan as well. All the waitresses had tats and looked suspiciously lesbian...........hmmmm..........so fresh squeezed orange juice, vegan sausage, tofu scramble with spinach, everything was really fresh, and the love was in it, it was just what i needed.the have thier menu online too, and the wait was not bad either and well worth it. early girl eatery.

tupelo honey is also good.....we didn't go because we thought it would be too southern and not have much that anyone truly vegan could enjoy...tupelohoneycafe

there were people panhandling on the corner one guy was spray painting planets

there was another guy painted silver.(why does it seem like theres some silver guy in every city i visit????) i guess it's pretty lucrative.

the last time i was there some people were doing incredible partner yoga like cirque de soleil shize....and then there was the creepy wizard guy once, you give him a dollar and woohoo he moves around for ya.....um.yeah.
