more food this week-red lentil dahl




red lentil dahl


i kinda winged this one because i didnt want to add alot of fat or oil to it,i wanted it to be vegan,and nourishing.i had a super hard and sweaty and yoga class last night and i wanted comfort but no really bad stuff in my body.


2 c red lentils 
6 c water
3 large garlic cloves sliced thinly as possible
3 tsp turmeric or more to taste (i like alot)
splash of mustard powder
splash of  garam masala 
trocomare to taste 
red pepper flakes
2 slices of fresh ginger

threw it all into crock pot on low and went to bed :)
